FS/FT: Shure Beta 57a Microphone - faulty

Here I've got a pretty much mint condition and fully boxed with all original packaging, Shure Beta 57a microphone.

These are the higher end range of the traditional 'SM' models, but....

I've had this one a few years and hardly used it, until I came to use it this week. When I plugged it in I found that it provided a very weak and thin sound so I would say it's faulty. I should also mention that the sip on the Shure branded case is broken. However, there's another possible issue....

When I bought this I also bought some SM58s from what I thought was a reliable source. I later became suspicious that the SM58s were fake - I never got a definitive answer on this, but I know there were some fakes going around at the time. They were still good mics that worked well, and I've never heard of fake Betas, but it is possible that this Beta 57 is a fake.

So that's about as much as I know. I'm really open to offers on this and I've no idea what to ask for it. Forum rules state that I have to put a price, so let's say £55 (posted) which is less than half the retail on these, but I'm throwing that out there to comply with guidelines and I'm genuinely opens to offers...
