Our 15-year-old singing and playing her new song that she wrote with some colleagues on her course. I think this is her best so far.

Edit - oh, it’s in C Aeolian

Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

I see what you mean there, yes.

I love the fragility yet strength in her voice - it really haunts me. And the words and the sentiment behind them are so simple yet seem to have some deeper elusive meaning that I can’t fathom somehow. But then I am her daddio :)

That's excellent. I hear what you mean about fragility and strength. You must be so proud of her.

    It's not a competition.

    Very enjoyable.
As you say fragility and strength. Her voice has hints of Josienne Clarke to my ears.

Oh - and daughter on piano and someone else on the trumpets at the beginning apparently. And another person got involved with the production.

I really enjoyed that.  It was really well played (and recorded), and I thought was an excellent song.
