Anyone Ever Heard of This Wood Used in Guitar?

What's Hot
Hi

I am originally from Bermuda. There is a wood which is native to there called Bermuda Cedar. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of it being used in guitar making, or if it even could be used theoretically?
I'd love to have a guitar made from woods which are unique to where I'm from...it'd be great, and I know acoustics use cedar tops sometimes.

Any thoughts welcome

A species of juniper? Critically endangered, apparently...
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Apparently  strong and lightweight... might be worth a go

You have to only use "Tone Woods" on guitars.

These tone woods can only be sourced from any sort of tree, made of wood.

    Apparently....

You can make a guitar out of anything.

You can make a good guitar out of anything with the right structural properties.

  • It's critically endangered, so I'd recommend not removing any trees for a guitar if you want future generations to also enjoy the trees.

Perhaps you've got an old log that's dried out and ready for use, though.
