No output from GarageBand :(

Rigged up my Focusrite 2i2 audio interface and my monitors speakers coming out of that. However, when I fire up Garageband and set the input and output to the interface I get no sound. What am I doing wrong please?

oh hang on it seems to be working now. I'll be back if any other problems. Thanks in advance though as I know you guys would've instantly helped me

FWIW, it's also worth checking that your system is using the Focusrite for input and output sounds as well as the DAW when something seems wrong. I've sometimes had to force Logic or the whole system to use my audio interface even though its plugged in and seemingly working, because the machine is still trying to use the internal mic and speakers.
