Almost literally Trigger’s broom.

Looks like the handle from something, bolted to a roasting tray, with a piece of vaguely Oriental looking decor as its soundboard. The “frets” do not accord with any known scale.

In short, a bedpan for somebody accustomed to squat toilets.

I thought the body was a roasting tray at first. Then I started to consider the possibility of it being the under casing from some bathroom scales.

I actually laughed out loud when I saw that. 

I’ve seen dirty strings before but those.. They are actually black!

Look, it’s very easy to laugh and mock but if your kid came home from nursery with that, you’d be really proud

I think that is a genuine guitar, honestly described.
From the pictures, you can see that it says 'DOH' on the upper bout.
Says it all...

I looked at the seller’s other items. Not sure how the guitar fits in. But if anyone is a size 7.5 and wants some shoes with the clown from IT on them, that’s where to go.

I tend to see this guitar like @ICBM does.  It probably could be made playable easily enough.  The builder did a neat job routing the area for the tuning machines. Anything is possible, I once saw a three string electric guitar built from a Hurling caman.  Always keep an open mind....
