Paul Weller in Sydney

What's Hot
https://youtu.be/tw0BtwhhDwo

I noticed this on YouTube, posted a couple of days ago. Seems an impressive bit of concert footage and we have a few Wellerites on here who I thought might enjoy it ( if they hadn’t noticed it already).
Does make me want a Casino.
Also interesting to see how Steve Cradock gets on, I saw him with The Specials and he’s the only pro guitarist I think I’ve ever seen where I thought ‘ I could do a better job than that’ ( although I realise  just because I thought that didn’t mean I could).

The weird thing for me when ever I see Paul Weller is Ben Gordelier, who plays percussion, because I know him from when he was working in PMT Northampton, and it's always odd to see someone you vaguely know doing something like this (another one is Tim Muddiman, who used to own/run another guitar shop in Northampton but also plays live with Gary Numan)

  • Part way through - I don’t know how untreated the recording is but that’s a great sounding band.

  • Paul Weller's Casino is a lovely looking guitar.

I wonder if his SG the same one he had in The Jam that used on Start!

  • ^^^ a quick google has answered that, no its not. The SG he used in 1980 to play Start! live was a small guard with quite a glaring red finish, the SG he uses since the mid 90s in his solo stuff is a large guard with quite a dark cherry finish.
