Yeah - sometimes the projects I do for myself get that little bit "extra", but I can't keep them all as I always want to make something new or customise something (it's in the blood) and need to make the space.

How do you make a Maltese cross?

Well first you need some molten metal and a suitably shaped mould and a small amount of cross making experience.

Alternatively kick them in the nuts.

Really nice guitar shame I cannot justify it.

I take it that it would be pretty expensive to have similar mods done to an existing acoustic?

yes - the inlay work and refret that would be needed would cost about £600

Thanks @FelineGuitars I thought as much.

Too rich for my old battered acoustic sadly.

Yeah - it's just so time consuming - you could easily take 12-15+ hours of work including he refret.

Fine if like my guitar I did it on my own time for my own amusement, but as a commercial proposition it's a bit daunting.

Yes I can see it is not an unfair price at all given the work required. I suspected the man hours would make it more for an expensive acoustic jistificatiin wise.

On the plus side that makes this guitar even more of a bargain for someone given the actual cost of the work.

    Looks really nice!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.
