Years ago I cracked the edge of one of the reflector knobs on my SG, through a cackhanded attempt at removing it. Annoyingly it doesn't seem like you can buy a single replacement, so bought the official 4-pack from Gibson and replaced them all.
Fast-forward a few years, and I thought it was a bit silly to have three perfectly fine reflector knobs just sitting there, might as well complete the set in case I want to use it on another guitar.
I took a punt on emailing Gibson's customer service to ask if I could buy a single unit. Amazingly they replied that provided I sent a pic of the broken knob and my SG's serial no, they would be happy to ship one to me free of charge.
Was expecting an enveloppe (maybe padded) to come at some point. This is what turned up today (from the Netherlands!). Put the knob on top for scale:
Absolutely filled with both bubble wrap AND air bags, too.
Kudos on great customer service, but I felt a little bit decadent...

Warwick sent me a couple of pots in a box of similar size, much to my surprise.
it came in 3 packages. One had the order . The 2nd the receipt, and the 3rd the actual switch . I thought that was ott as well , which is why I remembered it !
