On grim, dreary drizzly days like today I like to watch films set in tropical or desert locations.

The Thing. Lost count of the times I've turned it on after it's started, and had to watch the rest.

    Laugh, love, live, learn.

    Jason and the Argonauts.

Yep.  And all the Sinbad films, or anything Ray Harryhausen...
    The Vikings
    The Black Shield of Falworth
    The Untouchables
    The Frighteners
    Most Ealing comedies
    Most Hitchcock films
    Any Carry On film
    Ice Cold in Alex
    You're Next
    The Wicker Man
    Most Bond films
Anything with Humphrey Bogart or James Cagney

Some things I'd only watch if I can sit and watch from beginning to end, others I don't mind starting mid-film, watching for an hour then missing the end (applies especially to James Bond and Carry On films).

The Carry On and Bond films I know well enough that I can just watch a bit ( or in the case of some Carry On films just relieved to get it off the telly). But Carry on up the Khyber has to be watched until the end from wherever as it’s the peak of their craft.

Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

Yeah, I'd add Carry on Cleo (although the end is a non-event), Carry on Spying and - of course - Carry on Screaming.
