Sand paper ......

I have an 18mm thick piece of mdf that I plan to cover with sandpaper. This will  be used for flattening two pieces before gluing together, i.e. body and drop top.  Any recommendation on the type of paper to use?

I always use 3M Sandblaster. It's very consistent and resists clogging

I bought some 320 grit sandblaster but it seems to lose its grit quite easily. I've found Mirka to be more resilient.
