Does anyone here play guitar and violin?

Totally different techniques, but you have the advantage of knowing Music. This will help you get your head around everything, and hopefully your fingers and your bowing hand too!

I started to learn violin after playing guitar for 40 years. Difficult but rewarding. I enjoyed using it a lot and was making progress. I reluctantly stopped because my guitar playing was becoming neglected and I was losing my edge as a guitar player. I still have the violin and will use it on a couple of recordings in due course.
