James Tyler No Magnetic Pickup output.

Can anyone help with an issue I'm having with my James Tyler Jt69 Guitar. 

I've owned sereral Variaxs in the past some which have just died on me but this one is the opposite the the modelling side works fine but there is no output from the standard magnetic pickups . 

I've tried spraying the socket and using a stereo lead but no joy. 

Another issue is that the high E string doesn't seem to sound right with a " sitary" sound whatever sound is selected from the modelling section.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Uh-oh. Could be all manner of explanations.

For remote diagnosis purposes, it would help to have photographs of the control cavity wiring.
