Hand rubbed urethane?

What exactly is this, what brands are this? I need to make a repair to a skunk stripe which will involve scraping some wood away, which will obviously remove finish. It’s ‘hand rubbed urethane’, but what to refin with?

Urethane is an American term for what we call two-pack or 2k over here, but gets lumped under 'poly' in the word of guitars. Hand-rubbed is another Americanism meaning hand-sanded, at least, that's the only way I've seen it used.

You can use any paint e.g. nitro to touch it up. But this urethane / 2k paint is inert in that another solvent-based paint e.g. nitro won't melt and blend into it. So the new paint will show, basically.

Cheers for that explains why I’ve struggled to find something suitable. It feels quite raw under the hand so I think I might just rub in some clear Danish oil.
