I've dabbled with guitar electronics for a long time (and even built a simple amp from a kit) so I really should have a decent grasp by now, but I realise that I miss a lot of the basics (reading schematics, the basics of a circuit, series vs parallel, resistors vs capacitors, etc).
If you can't tell, electronics wasn't taught in my school!
So I'd like to have one handy resource for these basics, if only to figure stuff out for myself and stop badgering

You may laugh, but having looked at the contents table of "Electronics for Dummies", it looks like it could do the job... But I don't know if it's any good.
Do you have any other recommendations for a good primer book? Or should I stick to online resources?
Thanks!

I think any book that goes in depth into actual building for specific applications is bound to be expensive. I'm actually just looking for knowledge of the fundamentals of electronics in general I guess.
Youtube wise check out Afrotechmods channel, there's some great beginners videos
