Check out the Dunning–Kruger effect (people with very little knowledge think they know it all). Then the more you know, the more you know you don't know!

1) Massive lack of knowledge when it comes to songwriting, because it’s something I’ve rarely done. So I’m working my way through Rikky Rooksby’s ‘Songwriting Sourcebook’ to try and fill in the void. Cheers to @Wazmeister who recommended it.

2) Soloing over chords well. I plan on getting this Jeff McErlaine course on Truefire over the Christmas period. Anyone tried it?

That’s my two main areas I want to focus on right now, no point juggling 10 things, getting fed up and then giving up.
