I’ve been hankering after a Gordon Smith for a while. I’d heard good reports after Auden took over.

Saw this Gordon Smith GS2 on Reverb. I’ve only played briefly so far, but the P90s sound good, and it seems really well made. I really like the look of it, nice grain to the mahogany.

The most important stat, weighs 7.9lbs/7lb 14oz.

Very nice looking, happy NGD. You should also put it in the 'Truss rod access location' thread  ;)

I had a similar guitar to this, albeit a much earlier model from 2003/4/5 and thin bodied. It had Lollars in it and it sounded great, I didn't quite get on with the neck but I'd love to try it again. It was as light as a feather and with a wraparound.

Not quite sure why I sold it but I did....

Very nice!  Lovely looking mahogany.  I've got a GS2 but it's a Spanish Cedar body, super light but nowhere near that pretty!

I knew a carpenter called Gordon Smith. He had a wooden leg. He creaked when he walked. Nice bloke.

Very nice, lovely grain and finish. I’ve had two Auden GS’s and they’re nicely put together.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Spent a good evening playing. The thin (not that thin) neck is nice.

Knew a carpenter named Gordon Smith.
Had a leg made of wood to walk with.
    It creaked when he moved.
    So he sanded it smooth.
And put varnish on the underneath.

Great effort - turns out its hard to find a rhyme for Smith
