Stone me, what a load of bollocks with Paypal!  I have just jumped through all the hoops to create myself a Paypal account, and linked it to my bank account.  I do not want to link a debit or credit card, but it won't let me make a payment unless I do!

Is there any other way to pay please?  Or can someone please provide an idiot's guide to Paypal via bank account?

Please bear in mind that I am ancient and decrepit, and probably shouldn't be wearing purple t-shirts in the first place,
