Which lubricant for tuners?

Okay, so I’m making a start on my Harley Benton 335 to 12-string conversion.  I ordered two sets of banjo tuners from China, and an ABR bridge and stopbar set.  The tuners came, but the bridge and tailpiece didn’t, and I received a refund.
Checking the tuners, they seem fine, but a little stiff, so I’m thinking about lubrication.  I have a choice: 3 in 1 oil, spray grease, or graphite.  They appear to have a sealed mechanism, but I reckon the lubricant can be put in where the threaded sleeves go in, around the main tuning posts.
What do you think folks?

  • One of the mountain bike lubes, like Finish Line Dry, works very well. It's very runny out the bottle but evaporates and leaves a waxy residue with PTFE. Only have to do it once - maybe a couple of years later...  ;-)
    3 in 1 runs everywhere.
    Spray grease would work.
Graphite (powder) gets everywhere but where it's needed...

Spray grease it is then - thanks PG.  You’ll probably see me in one of those ‘fail’ videos!
