I have a LP Special I’d like to mod by swapping out the 490’s with a Charlie Christian in the neck and... not sure what would be a nice match in the bridge tbh. I’m looking for low output humbucker sized or smaller with a mount recommendations please. Tone wise think Freddie King.

Definitive Freddie King tone for me is “The Stumble”, stinging tone , probable flatwound strings on his gold top, became obsessed with that sound, hated later 355 tone.
so a meaty P90 in a humbucker size would be IT  for me, good luck

@Mike58 @Jalapeno Thanks guys. Yeah, I prefer his solid body tone too. Haven’t touched a guitar in weeks due to covid but I have been thinking about the special the last couple of days. I think a neck CC and a HB sized 90 are the way to go but a filtertron type is a tempting alternative. Brandonwound in the states look like a possibility too. Appreciate all the input.
