    @johnperry - do you use a comp before the B9 mate ?

    yes
    It's a great sounding pedal but very unreliable.

    Putting anything in front of it even a comp makes it glitch out.

    that's weird. I found that if i didn't boost and compress the signal going into it, it struggled. Maybe i should try a few combinations

    Weird, I put an SP comp in front of the one I had an it make the attack really splattery.

    I think I'd rather get a full time organ/keyboard player as I love the sound anyway

    How will EHX survive if they can't get their build quality sorted out :(

    Quite happily I'd suspect.

    Ive done the usual Waz 'Try Amazon And Send It Back' option and ordered one. It'll be here on the morrow.

    I think that was a great review
    having had one for a while I agree with all your points
    quite right that a compressor in front makes a huge improvement
    quite right about choosing voiceings carefully which makes a huge difference
    Finally .........I would say that plucking a chord rather than a strum also makes huge improvement

    Sounds good when it works.  I'm on my third. Some have suggested that it's not actually the pedal hardware that fails but the software, so a power cycle fixes it - doesn't match my experience - though since it was swapped I can't be certain of the real cause.

    This is not something I'd ever try live, as it's around a one in five shot for silence!

    I know the price and complexity is rather different, but a midi interface and organ emulator would be a far better bet.

    I'v had mixed results with a compressor too, it seems to interact with the triggerring in an unghelpful way.

    Just bumping this thread, as I quite fancy one of these.

    @monquixote - that is a glorious review mate !

    Anyone still use one of these ? Im after ye olde Hammond sound... (A la Booker T...)

    @johnperry @paul_c - surely one of you guys have owned one ?

    I've got one, haven't used it for ages but I'm keeping it for the day when I need it again, though I've bought so many pedals since I stopped using it that I may well find lots of uses for it now :)
