Japanese takamine fret size?

Does anyone know the fret wire size of a 80s Japanese takamine EAN series acoustic guitar.
Picked one up in bad condition with a headstock repair and the first 7 frets filed down to nothing ( not sure why) was hoping attempt a partial refret just to get it playable without removing all the frets.
