Spray over a headstock decal

I have a tru oil finished headstock on which I’ve put a decal from Rothko & Frost. The decal needs to be sprayed over (it is not compatible with hand or brush application of any finish since the ink will run).

For some sad reason my can of tru oil aerosol has sort of depressurised (even though it’s still more than half full). 

What can I spray over the decal please, that will be compatible with the tru oil finish underneath?

Alternatively, how can I get three or four more sprays out of a can that’s sort of depressurised?

Do you have access to an airbrush? if so you can thin the Tru oil and do a few mist coats over the decal before normal oil application.
