Body refin options

I have a now striped down MIM strat body. It is made of about 7 strips of wood with a veneer front and back. So is only really suitable for a solid colour finish. 

It will need to be a rattle can as I don't have a my spray kit. 


There are nitro cans available but in limited colours. The other option is get the colour I want from hafords car paint cans. 

Are nitro cans really my best option

I’ve sprayed bodies with rattle cans iand covered with poly, with decent results, mine was over spraying existing finishes so not sure about from stripped. You will need a primer and possibly some filling first. 

Nitro guitars look and feel better to me but I haven’t used so can’t comment on difficulty.
