I'm in QLD and the rain has been torrential the last week or so - we had a 20cm long giant centipede in the bathroom on the weekend which freaked the other half right out... I googled it after I got rid of it and they can give a nasty bite apparently! Looked like this:

No mice where we are but plenty of spiders - huntsman and orb weavers that are pretty beautiful things up close ... no crocs thank god, they’re further north!
