Posting this for a friend who's looking for a Gibson L21 or32.  Could be vintage or reissue, preferably close to Hants/South Coast.

Not many of these around, I keep any eye out for them. The vintage LG1s are ladder braced whereas the LG2s are X braced so they can sound a little different.

Hanks have a used (mint) reissue LG2 at the same price as you can pre order a new one for.

Ah, thanks @TDubs ; - I didn't know the bracing was different between the two.  My mate is a lead singer who mostly strums, and has a pretty light attack.  Do you reckon the ladder or X-bracing would work better for that?

There's a nice 1965 Lg2 I've been eyeing up at London Vintage on Denmark Street, just short of three grand though.
I really need to sell first...

If I was your mate I'd be looking at the X braced Lg2 or Lg3 rather than the ladder braced Lg1 even if it's just light strumming.

Cool, that one's a 3/4 size though, it seems.

As @Gandalph says, x bracing probably best.

My bank manager is happy that Glenn has already sold that Gibson L-OO Deluxe.

EDIT - on further inspection, the bank's probably also glad I don't live near enough to London to go and have a punt on that old D-28.

That 1965 Epiphone Cortez Glenn has just listed is worth a look if they’re not too picky about having the word Gibson on the headstock. Essentially an Lg2 and made in America.
Keep us updated @Trude be interested to know what your mate ends up with.

Yeah, it's nice for sure!  Sadly my mate is pretty set on a Gibson - mainly because he's been playing a fairly lacklustre Epi J45 for ages and has decided to treat himself to a Gibson.  He was set on a Hummingbird for a while, but he's recently found out about the LGs and likes the idea of a slightly smaller body.
