The issue is that it increases build cost.

To balance my question, here's another famous Italian brand: Geloso, used for mono channel hifi amps or p.a. amps. Here the components are nice and tightly packed in a sandwich box type amp, albeit one from the 40s:

I've read them being used as harmonica amps (along with the geloso mics). I've never heard one but a mate says they're a solid clean. Restored they do look the bees knees.
