watching it now, they're gutting some old record player to turn it into some tat or other, but what do they do with the player's guts? there looks to be at least a guitar amp's worth of valves and transformers in there!

It’s the most f*****g annoying and stupid programme. Well, I’ve seen bits of several. Turning a lovely old traditional Polish ( IIRC) costume into a pouffe, the old record player into a wine rack and a fully functioning cycle into a really uncomfortable looking chair.
Okay there’s some skill but the projects I’ve seen are all pretty stupid. It’s the evil twin to Repair Shop.
