daft question on parallel

If you have parallel available on a 2HB guitar, is each HB 'parallel' (eg different to full-on sound) or do you only get a parallel sound when you combine the two pickups together?

With standard wiring it's only the two pickups which are in parallel with each other. Each pickup remains in series.

You can wire each HB to be series or parallel, for a different sound as well, so you could then have two HB's in series or parallel plus each pick up in series or parrallel
