Oberheim 88-key piano-weighted MIDI controller - £50 to forum funds
Superbly built fully weighted MIDI controller:
- Piano weighted keys (made by Viscount)
- Multi-zones (4 independent MIDI outs = 64 channels)
- Pitch wheel and two mod wheels.
- FULLY-WORKING AFTERTOUCH!
- Super-customisable aftertouch and velocity curves, etc.
- 4 MIDI CC sliders
- 4 pedal inputs (for MIDI CC or On/Off settings)
Slight issue: last week I plugged it in for the first time after a few months, and I saw a 'battery low' message on boot-up. Restarting it while holding down the [Write] button reset it to normal MIDI defaults, and all OK. I've had it switched on for quite a while now and the message is 'battery ok' at start-up, so I presume that it's trickle-charged. But it is possible that it will need a replacement battery at some point.
I've loved this old beast, and don't really want to part with it, but I want a keyboard with built-in piano voices and speakers.
