Didn’t notice they started doing LP types.
Suhr get criticised for being heavy guitars. Is this one a weighty beast? Just asking out of interest. My Suhr is so well put together and is super light
It’s listed as 8.31 lbs but I will check this on the scales sometime this week. It certainly doesn’t feel heavy, it plays beautifully and is very well balanced.

That’s pretty light for an LP. Looks like a great guitar

That's truly gorgeous.  But what's even more gorgeous is the black number hanging next to it on your man-cave wall.  What is it?!

It’s a custom guitar made for me by Brian Eastwood (Lancs) back in 2000. It’s actually dark blue. I gigged this guitar to death back in the day. It’s just brilliant , ultra slim neck, 24 frets. PAF in the bridge, humbucker in the neck just using the slug coil and there is a piezo pup in the bridge. I’m taking it to Brian’s (son) for a service when that have cleared their backlog.

Only 100 have been produced worldwide and I think it has taken over a year for them to find their way to the customers.
I was lucky enough to get one, which must have been a cancelled order.
They aren’t numbered, although I think 5 or 6 have dogs names written under the pick up.
Not cheap, think they are around the £8k mark if I remember correctly.

Well over a year - they started appearing at dealers in 2018!

They are numbered on the certificate and the suhr spec sheet.

That's fantastic. I also considered one and may well in the future. Will be interesting to see if the singlecut makes its way into their regular line up. I know John has said that it probably will, but the Aura line might be a one off with the future singlecuts being slightly different.

There are still a few with dealers dotted around so I'll keep my eye on them. I have a Feline custom singlecut needing to get started, (my fault, not Jonathan's), so that takes priority on any funds.

Congrats on the new guitar. Its awesome

  • That's a beautiful piece of wood.

Would it be vulgar to ask how much the guitar cost?

Not at all, just over £7k.
Not cheap but it’s an amazing guitar.
