    Not sure re brown or violin burst to be honest. Looks quite violin-ish to me though. I would try some switch cleaner if I had some and would possibly work too, as the issue only happens if the switch has not been used fot a while but seems to go away after switching a few times.

    I'm looking for one of these but had my heart set on bright coloured version (Violin Sunburst). Shallow, I know but I just think it looks nicer in my opinion. Pictures can be deceiving as very few computers will show the true colour. I've replaced entire electrics on a Epiphone Sheraton before so a switch shouldn't be much of a challenge.

    Yeah, I did the same with my mid 80's Sheraton (a couple of times actually). It's an experience everyone should go through:)

    Yeah, I thought so. However it's still a beautiful guitar and I'm warming to the colour :-) It's growin on me.
