Hi. I’ve downloaded Straylight and Ashlight demos from Native instruments. 

I was expecting each one to have like half a dozen different sounds and textures on there but there’s loads. 

So what’s the difference between the demo versions of these VSTs and the full fat paid for version? Cos there seems to be a hell of a lot of free content here

I've got the full version of Straylight. 

The Straylight library folder properties in Windows states that the size is 2.44 GB and there are 1499 files and 38 folders. Does that help in determining whether the full version has more content?

Straylight (and Pharlight) are very CPU intensive. Some of the presets (such as one called Noiserotator in Straylight) are hitting over 40% CPU reported in Kontakt. That's with an i7 4GHz multicore processor.

I think you have the full product running in demo mode. The last time I tried one was in 2018 - Kontact stopped after 15 minutes of use and needed to be restarted and the product was disabled after X number of uses.

Straylight allows you to use its engine with your own custom samples. So you are only limited by your imagination (and the features of the engine).
