Fitting a baritone neck to a tele?

Couple of questions.

Can you fit an baritone neck to a telecaster body, or is it not that simple?

And does anyone know where is s good place to find one of it's a simple job?

Cheers

You can get baritone conversion necks specifically designed to fit on Fender-scale guitar bodies. A 'standard' baritone neck like the one from a Bass VI won't fit though.

You can also do a baritone conversion using the standard neck, if you use heavy enough strings and you don't want to tune down below B-B, or A-A at a push.

Did this a few years back using an Allparts conversion neck. Was easy, and sounded great.

  • @ICBM & @benecol cheers for the info.

Looking at the necks it's probably as cheap to buy a squire baritone tele to be honest. I played one of the paranormal ones to today, about £380. And it wasn't bad.
