North East Luthier

Has anyone heard of a Luthier named Brian Dixon from the North East (Newcastle area).

I’ve spotted one of his tele builds on a retailers website, but it seems incredibly cheap for what it is, especially considering it has Seymour Duncan pickups in it.

I’ve done a bit of research but can’t find anything about him.

Can't say I've ever heard of him. If you're interested in getting a Tele or Strat from a local North East luthier, I'd highly recommend Adam Stevenson. He's the best guitar tech in my local area and has just recently started doing custom order builds at fairly reasonable prices. 

I bought his first one, which was a bit of a prototype, and it's an absolute corker...

I’ve had a few guitars setup by Adam. He is excellent. I am likely to order a custom build from him in the future. This other guitar got my attention as it is so cheap and looks to be a decent spec. I just hadn’t heard of Brian Dixon so was just curious if anyone had any experience of his builds or knew who he was.

I’ve actually sent Adam a message to see if he had heard of him, just waiting on a reply.

Not heard of Brian Dixon at all ?  New one on me. 

Best luthiers in the North east by a country mile are Dave Wilson and Paul Richardson, both ex Overwater and their work is incredible.
