What tuners do I need for my charvel neck

What's Hot
I got this neck off eBay, and assumed it would be a normal Gotoh tuner, but it’s not.

After searching I can’t find anything that seems to be an easy match.

    Same tuner, but right handed

Edit.   Screw hole might still be off,and need redrilling.   Think it's some Schallers that have it coming straight off the side of the tuner like that.

  • As is always the case, I post on here and then find the answer right in front of me (and made myself look like a fool to boot!)

I'd checked prior, and the tuner hole was a bit off. Then came to take a photo and realised it's in totally the wrong place ... 'cos I reached into the wrong bag and pulled out a left handed tuner.

Then as I realised that, I looked to my left and saw my tele partscaster that has Gover tuners. Holding the two next to each other I see they match totally.

Answer was _literally_ right in front of me (well, slightly to my left).

  • Gotoh 381 'heads have the screw lug in the correct position.

On guitars with a string clamp, the 'head quality is less critical. You could get away with Ping Well lookalikes.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.
