Fender Jazzmaster 65 Build

I was obsessing about building a 65 replica with all US parts and to the spec I wanted.

In 2 weeks I’ve done it - from obtaining everything needed to getting it finished. Mark at Jagged Offest in Derby supplied the US spec body, neck, harness and shielding and the rest I sourced.

I’m pretty competent at stuff but wise - dressing, levelling etc I wanted a pro so ‘Don't Fret’ a local Luthier, Tom Aldridge did the work and he did a fab job!

Montys 59 pickups was the only sidestep vs what should have been 65 pickups. They are exceptional BTW. Bits of routing and bottom clenching moments throughout its now done! Gigging it tonight and am chuffed with it, which is handy - you never quite know until you've finished if its gonna light your fire!

However, as my wife said, couldn't you just buy one?? She has a point...

How do you deep fry a Jazzmaster? And do you serve it with chips and peas?

No custom colour?! Shame!!!  Looks lovey though  

Any more details on the neck sourcing? I’m after a similar Jag neck…

Bit by bit I found is easiest. The big body can be difficult but it's doable. 

Always with chips and peas!

Ya. I’m ideally looking for binding and 6105 frets, so currently have a standing search for an AV65 or AO one. Might drop him a message and see if it’s an option

Yeah I was in a similiar position as they are like proverbial rocking horse **** fingers crossed he can sort one or at least point you in the right direction, I know he as a unbound Jag neck hi spec, fingers crossed.
