Do replacement necks come with truss rods?

What's Hot
Only just occurred to me looking at ads for replacement necks (I.e. for fender type bolt on guitars) - I don’t obviously see a truss rod on the pics, so do they not come with one? Or are they just hidden in the pics

Nowadays, it would take a special/custom order to obtain a non-reinforced replacement neck.

If the truss rod adjuster access is not visible on the headstock, it must be at the heel. On 22 or 24 fret necks, a fingerboard overhang will make the adjuster difficult to see.

On necks with an applied fingerboard, the truss rod is inserted before the fingerboard is glued into place. Hence, there is no need for an insertion fillet around the back of the neck.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

  • I don’t think that I’ve seem a replacement neck without a truss rod. Modern Fender style necks have the adjustment nut at the headstock and the access point can be easily seen from the front. The more traditional Fender style truss rod is adjustable at the end of the heel and may not as easily spotted in photos.
