Sold a million pedals on here but here is my first guitar post

Ok I must have a players edition Gretsch jet in black or maybe even that silver sparkle. I am having irrational dreams about it and am not really a guitar lust person. I have my ride or die modified strat that no one would likely buy but I would never sell it. It just works been modified to how I play and is the one and i’m not scared to thrash it into a matchstick. 

So with no other options I am putting my far superior American FSR Jazzmaster up for sale. I have had it from new and it is a bit modified but all a vast improvement to what it originally had. Maxed!

The neck is a real beauty and feels natural and smooth. Lovely figuring and unique etched Fender logo. The guitar has a snappiness to it. Read that they weigh about 8.8lbs but will weigh properly. A really unique body and nice to think it was recycled wood and has some history. Comes with all the papers. 

I had a black mastery imported and have had that fitted and set up wonderfully by a pro. The nut was cut terribly so that has all been sorted. Currently it is set up with 11s.  Mastery UFO tip and mastery string tree. 

The pickups are creamery dark line pickups and were professionally installed. They are really punchy and have enjoyed them so much more than the originals . Fantastically articulate but not really overly trebles as jazz masters pickups they love fuzz and overdrives but really snappy. Also I honestly loved the way they look being completely covered as always liked mustang pickups and those 80s strats. Here is the blurb.

Essentially the idea was to design a raw, more primal sounding pickup to work with the existing Jazzmaster wiring for pure alternative sounds and styles of playing. Much tighter, much more focussed sounds than my Sonic '60s, these were designed specifically to play loud.
A single plated steel blade sits at the heart of the design inside a much more tightly scatterwound coil of thinner 43awg coil wire, and I experimented with a variety of magnet grades and sizes until finally working on a duo of custom square bar Alnico 5s.
Available in a stark black or white open face design, the new Jazzmaster Dark Line pickups are direct drop-in replacements, designed to turn that Fender or Squier Jazzmaster into a much more powerful guitar - I spent a long time getting the design of these just right, putting them aside, coming back to them - a real labour of love’


These were at least £1699-£2000 in the shops. Mastery system and bits were £450 ish pickups were £150. The locking tuners were £75. Strap locks £25 .

I have sold off all the original parts. The improvement is night and day and it was pretty nice to start with. The gentleman who did my strat mods fitted the lovely feeling knobs and switch tips made of metal from his workshop partner and feel really good and have some nice ware. But these would be an easy fix if they weren’t to your taste. 

Schaller black S locks also - something I wish I did so long ago. 

One little ding I have a pic of it if you want to see it on the side near the input so you will  never see it ! ha 

Comes with all the original papers pictured and lovely hard case. There is a UK one on reverb priced at £2,395 - bonkers. At one point there was one on here with no mods and £1500.
