Mixer Recommendations

I think I need a mixer. I’ve just snagged a symphony desktop to replace an old 2i2 that had direct monitoring.

I want to be able to use the interface for music play back, recording and have my outputs from my axefx connected to it.

I used to be able to use the direct monitor switch on the 2i2 but have to use software to route on the symphony.

I don’t need loads of ins and outs, just something decent that won’t do flavour or interfere with the signal processing.

I’ve not got a clue when it comes to this stuff so would really appreciate some direction

  • For live stream stuff I'm using the Yamaha MG10 which is a solid piece of kit and sounds great. The smallest one they do is the MG or AG06 which is 6 inputs I think. That's if you're looking for a hardware one.

Any small Yamaha/ Mackie/ Behringer will probably do the job.

Thanks chaps - is there a strong preference why I would want the MG10 over the A06?

  • Allen and heath make some good quality small mixers which aren't crazy expensive as well.
