I've got a guitar of Gibson scale length that lives in B standard and drop A, it really sustains and works great with 13 guage strings. With the EMG81 in the bridge it can sound nice and evil with the right combination of fuzzes.

Another vote for tuning a 6-string down; I’ve tried 7-string guitars a couple of times and I found it really hard to adapt, too.

My guitars now are all in drop C, 25.5” scale with 10-52 strings and I’ve had no problems at all. A set of 11s would probably be fine for drop B, or if you’re going down to B standard then I guess 12s, or 13s if you’re a bit heavy handed.

I thought the song was alright actually, although the verse sounds plagiarised from that Imagine Dragons song I think?

As you say the best bits (as always) are the guitar parts and tones, like you I've heard stuff like that before and thought it would be cool to get an instrument capable of that. Citizen Erased is the one I'd like to do.
