Those in a band, how do you write?

I have recently started writing (never have done before) and came up with (hopefully) good ideas for songs, got a good way in and feel like I need someone else to bounce the idea off and grab their input into the song. 
Interesting how different everyone is!

Sometimes I will do a fully formed demo then we finalise it from that. Otherwise I give the singer a demo and he writes lyrics. Sometimes I just give him the building blocks on reaper and he arranges it to suit his lyrics.
I would like to jam more but we don't have the time.
