With great sadness it is time to let this go.

This is a classic and superb guitar. Owned by me from new and although gigged a little it has always been used mostly as a spare in case my Strat broke down! 2002 model. Single piece solid mahogany back with no weight relieving holes - yet still not too heavy.  Top has just the right amount of flame and  the finish has mellowed to the most fantastic almost vintage sheen. Pickups are original Burstbuckers but I changed the wiring some time ago to 50's style. Sounds amazing. Frets are perfect. Jack socket surround was replaced with a metal one a long time ago having broken a couple of cream plastic ones. Straplocks fitted - I may have the originals somewhere but cannot promise. The guitar has a really playable action. Neck is perfect.

Has lived in its case for the last 4 years except when my cat knocked over the case with the result of broken headstock(!!!!!) which has been invisibly repaired by Andy Petherick from Brook guitars - see last 2 photos - it is impossible to tell!!!  Well done Andy.

Condition is excellent for 20 years old. There are some indentations on the back but very difficult to photo - nothing even close to breaking the finish. The odd little mark around the guitar but - as you can see in the photos - nothing serious. It just looks right!!!
£1500 NOW £1300

Looking to trade for wood bodied resonator - preferably spider cone but.......

I'm nowhere near Cornwall, nor do I have the pocket money spare, but that is a stunning neck repair! It's invisible!

I have tried and tried but the repair cannot be seen. Brook Guitars showed the repair on their website as an example of Andy's work! Glue is stronger than wood!

Blimey!, I have to say, I'm mighty impressed with that neck repair, at least with that photo anyway, well done Andy.

I am looking for £1500 collected from North Cornwall . I will not post - for obvious reasons - but could meet up if required.

Change to acoustic means I may be interested in a trade for a quality - solid wood - Classical Guitar - preferably Cedar/Rosewood.

Great neck repair. Is this a Les Paul Standard, or a Traditional or a Classic or something else, and what’s the neck profile like? Thanks.

Hi - it is a 'standard' with a '50's' neck - but it feels 'thinner' than you would expect. Very comfy and easy to play.

I know a lot of interest is in the neck repair!!!!!!!! If I had not shared pictures nobody could tell. I decided to keep it, because it is a fantastic Les Paul, but not playing electric live anymore so my Strat will do for electric and I want funds to buy something nice and acoustic!!
