I have an old Ibanez RG - on the bass side trem post, the little grub screw is missing.

What size is the grub screw please?

Or it certainly isn't engaging with my 1.5mm Allen key. Interestingly if it were missing, I should be able to pass the little Allen key further down the post to the base of the body insert / ferrule,  but I can't do that...  So quite possibly, do they go rusty so badly that an Allen key cannot 'engage'?

This one (a picture I got off the internet)

Most grateful for your expert advice…

    Have you tried running a little penetrating oil into the seized threads?
    You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

    I don’t know if the threads are seized @Funkfingers ;

    I can’t get the Allen key to ‘take’ in the slot at the top…

    I figure there must be a grub screw in there because if not then my little Allen key would go right down to the bottom of the Ferrule/insert…?
