What guitars do EMG pre-loaded scratchplates best fit?

I think I remember that my DG20 set had to be trimmed to fit around the end of my 21 fret neck

For avoiding modification, are Fender the best fit?

I fitted a Lace sensor loaded scratchplate to a 22 fret HB strat the other week, size was OK, just the holes slightly misaligned

Surely, the simplest way to ensure an accurate fit is to detach the EMG gubbins from the supplied scratchplate and install it onto the original.

I realise that this negates the concept of a drop-in direct replacement harness. It will still be less work than cutting and/or scraping the EMG 'plate.

Out of interest, what do purchasers with Floyd Rose equipped Stratocasters do about reshaping the 'plate around the vibrato?
