Up for sale is my Jackson SLS Soloist USA.

This is a very rare USA select series SLS soloist. Only made for a very short period of time and now only available as a custom shop model.

Has emg Jim root daemonum pickups fitted (the Seymour Duncans are not included) and comes with Jackson case and hang tags.

Frets have very light signs of wear (see pic).

Finish does have slightly faded and darkened areas that is hard to capture on camera, but can be seen in certain light.

Overall condition is good with a light scratch on the back in the buckle area and a backplate screw is missing.

Joe Duplantier of Gojira used the SLS

Neck isn’t the usual skinny speed neck. Serious tone from this top spec guitar.

Would consider trades for Flying V /sg /explorer or similar with cash my way

£1,475

ooh you don't see those about very often

how do the Root pickups compare to the 81/85? (or is 81/60 the relevant comparison?)

  • The root pickups are a great all round pickup. Can still chug, but less compressed than the full actives, so it all depends what you’re after. They clean up well and and are closer to a hot passive than the 81/85 etc.   the other retro actives are great pick ups too
