Received a Zombie Dust Doomster from @Fiftyshadesofjay to replace the HB size P90 at the bridge of my NR Fenderbird, the relic finish on the pickup cover, looked bloody awful, so first I removed all the hex bolts and gave the cover a bit of attention with 1000 grit, didn't like that so I cut through the solder on the cover, slipped and put a pickup cover corner shaped vee in my finger, which bled like you wouldn't believe. Wrapped my finger in tissue and masking tape and carried on. Mrs B’s art hair drier softened potting wax from the surfaces, reinstalled all the hex bolts and replaced the HB sized bridge P90.
Wow! Its huge sustains forever at bedroom volume, I like it a lot!

  • Ah yes - I've been in the same situation when taking a blade to a cover! Hurts like hell!

I've never played a Zombie Dust before, but heard loads about them. I still imagine it sounds killer in that guitar though.
