Rewiring different toggle switches

Hi guys,
One of my Les Paul's old (box style) toggle switches is being a little intermittent so I ordered a new one to replace it, however, they are different style switches and I'm now not sure how to connect the new one. 

There are three grey wires, each with a braided wire that has been soldered to the side of the box switch.

Thanks. So would I need an additional ground wire to do this?
Guessing it might be easier to just buy the same style selector or can it be achieved without additional wires?

Just solder the braided trio to the thick lug, your output (middle wire) to the two central ones pushed together as in the SSS picture. The bridge pickup wire goes to the top outer lug and the bridge wire to the bottom one.

Probably going to need to strip away about ¼" of the grey insulation in order for the signal carrying wires to reach their respective terminals without being strained.
