The purge continues. I got this re-fretted in 2017 by luthier-to-the-stars Bill Puplett so no surprise that it's a beautiful job. He also proclaimed the instrument to be every bit as good as any 335 Gibson made in the last 40 yrs - It's no secret that Tokai make nice guitars however. I never understood the model numbering system for their ES & LS series until recently, apparently it's to do with how many yen they priced them at - ¥120,000 for this one in the early noughties. The pickups aren't Tokai OEM, they're Bare Knuckles . SKB case. The lacquer has worn off a little on the upper F-hole, from use not abuse - it's cellulose so par for the course. Also there's some marks on the tail-stop where the previous owner wound the strings over the top. 
 
  I don't want to post it so collection from York or meet up, and payment in old-fashioned folding money please. All at the come-and-get-me price of £925.

  I'm not looking to trade this for yet another guitar thanks - they gotta go !
