Palm / Orbital Sander with dust extraction?

What's Hot
Anyone got any good recommendations for a good sander in the £100 range?

I'd like something for all types of woodworking, plus occasional guitar work, must have an option to connect a Henry vacuum for dust extraction.

If it is for infrequent home or workshop use then get a mains powered sander. There’s no point going to the expense of batteries, and then finding that they’re not charged when you need them.

    Mine is this one https://www.screwfix.com/p/makita-bo4555-2-electric-palm-sander-240v/85198.

The advantage of the “1/4 sheet” rectangular pad is that, rather than buying expensive cut-to-size abrasives, you can buy sheets or rolls of abrasive paper and cut to size with a Stanley knife.

Many sanders come with a bag attached. Don’t use it. The bag might filter out the large particles, but it let’s through a lot of dust, particularly the fine particles which get in your lungs. Instead connect your Henry (you’ll need a rubber step-down hose) and wear a dust mask.

Whatever you buy, Mirka Abranet and a padsaver make the extraction much better. Also what Roland said.
