Pickup coil tape

Hi all - any help appreciated.

I have an old Duncan JB humbucker, must be 30 years young now. I’m putting it in a Strat pickguard, but the outer wrapping of tape is old and is coming away. The individual coils are fine, it’s just the outer wrap that needs replacing.

It’s a cream/white zebra, and the tape’s black.

What’s the best stuff to use? I’m not after a pristine resto, but it’s an old and very good-sounding pickup which I’d like to preserve.

Cheers!

The cloth tape? I've got a large roll here if you're anywhere close.

I'll never use it all so you're welcome to as much as you need.

@SteveRobinson - that's very kind, thank you. I'm going to need to buy a couple of cans of your Lake Placid Blue to finish the guitar so I'll get a bit of that tape at the same time - more than happy to pay you for it, just nice to know I'm getting the right stuff.

You'll be pleased to know I've been following your blog on applying decals, by the way - very useful. Sunday well spent

Thanks, if your having the lacquer sent by courier I'll wind plenty of the tape around the plastic lid of one of the cans.

Please remind me when you order!
